Unique Touches for a Special Wedding

One of the most enjoyable aspects of working at the Hawthorne Hotel is being able to look at all of the different and creative touches that our guests bring to their special events here. You can call it "special occasion voyeurism" if you wish, but we thought you might enjoy sharing our look at what is going on this weekend.

The bride's aunt created her own initial logo for the new couple, based on the Hawthorne "H" logo you can see in these photos. Then she took it one step further, and created her own candy bar wrappers, customized with the couple's wedding information. These candy bars are beyond unique, and we really enjoyed seeing this creativity in action.

A darling young girl dreams of her wedding in the Hawthorne Hotel Grand Ballroom

Meet Lindsay, who was staying with us for a family reunion this summer. We are certain she is looking through our grandmother windows, at the Ballroom, and dreaming of the day when she gets to take to the dancefloor for her first dance.

We are so lucky to be the stewards of the Hawthorne Hotel, keeping it waiting for young ladies like Lindsay, until she grows up and returns for her wedding.

First Fire of the Season at the Hawthorne Hotel

  

This couple was the beneficiary of the first fire of the season at the Hawthorne Hotel here in Salem, Massachusetts. They are visiting from Pennsylvania, here to attend the wedding of a best friend. The wedding will of course be here at the Hawthorne.
